We had a special event this afternoon – a surgery session by our two resident doctors, Dave and Lisa.  They removed a sebaceous cyst from Karen’s head.  I’m serious… they performed surgery right on our kitchen table here.  And Karen is sitting next to me as I write this so I guess she turned out ok.

Pre-Surgery Prep

I’m going to spare you all from seeing all of the photos UNLESS you want to follow the link below.  I caution you – this is not for the faint of heart so you’ve been warned.

You can check out all of the surgery photos here.

That has got to be the weirdest session report I have ever seen.

I have a hard time trying to figure out how this got set up.
Patient: "Hey, want to come over for some games?"
Doctor: "Sure, sounds fun."
Pateint: "Would you mind bringing a scalpel? I have this thing in my head I need you to take out..."

Games, Technology, and Other Stuff. I think you crossed the line on Other Stuff, yucky medical stuff is not the strength of this blog. Otherwise, keep up the great blog!

No worries Devin - this is likely a one-time posting on a topic like this. Back to our regularly scheduled programming... nothing to see here.

So yeah... How did that happen, Chris? Who came up with the idea of doing minor surgery, since everyone would be there anyway. Was it the doctor's idea, or the patient's? Was there arm-twisting involved, or was it more of a casual "Sure! Oh, and I'll bring some chips"?

What I like is that you can tell who the doctors are in that picture just from the facial expressions...
